'Throwing and altering pots'
Demo - John's pots are hand thrown and the focus has always been on pure form; one not to be missed.

Joy Bosworth
'Ceramic Jewellery'
Talk/demo - Introducing the audience to the opportunities available when combining ceramics with other materials to make contemporary jewellery, using images from her new book to illustrate the exciting possibilities. Signed copies will be available on her stand.

Charles Bound
Talk/demo
"I have heard Charles Bound compared to, and categorised with, other potters who have chosen wood-firing as the medium to achieve their work. That Charles uses fire and clay is undeniable, but the similarity ends there" said Anthony Hepworth. Charles doesn't do many talk/demos so this is a fantastic opportunity to see a master at work.

'Texture, Fire and Form'
Talk/demo - Wendy will give a demonstration of various hand-building techniques and surface decoration including glazing and carving patterns and textures into clay.
SATURDAY 7th AUGUST

Talk/demo - Margaret will do a presentation of her workshop and travels followed by a demonstration of glazing and brushwork decoration.

Demo - A practical demonstration giving the audience an insight into the journey of one of his sculptures; from conception through to design and ultimately it's making and firing

Peter Ilsley
'Confessions of a crystal addict'
Talk/Demo - Peter is one of the top crystalline makers in the world and has written the definitive book 'Macro Crystalline Glazes'. When lesser mortals are retired, at nearly 80 Peter is still travelling the world doing talk/demos and we're very grateful that he's doing one here for us at this years show.

Yasuharu Tajima-Simpson (Taja)
'Slab built inlaid porcelain'
Demo - Taja will be creating a slab built porcelain teapot and decorating with inlay lines. He is also talking about Chun (Porcelain Blue) glaze too
SUNDAY 8th AUGUST

'Making a puzzle Jug'
Talk/demo - Doug will make one of his puzzle jugs and then show a short film about himself made by Alex McErlain (University of Manchester)

Demo - Mark will be assembling a large pot in sections and talking about use of slips and decoration for salt glazing and the effect wood has on the process
